Adelaide’s Eastern-suburbs is home to an offering of fine Italian dining, set amongst leafy suburbia and heritage bluestone.

Orso presents an elegantly delicious offering of Italian food, cultivated by local restauranteur Andre Ursini.

Located within a restored bluestone building, circa-1885, the Rose Park restaurant has four stunning dining spaces: The Orso Dining Room, The Alexandra Room, Orso Bar and The Courtyard.

This gives diners the option to choose between relaxing amongst the breeze, finding a more intimate space, or sitting right where the action is overlooking the bustling kitchen – whichever suits your mood.

The menu is perfectly refined, with an array of starters like stracciatella with pickled rhubarb, fig, prosciutto and fig leaf oil, and their tiger prawn roll with marie rose sauce, pickled cucumber and salmon roe on a milk bun.

A selection of distinctive pastas grace the mains, such as pipe rigate pasta with duck leg ragu, pea verde and parmigiano reggiano, alongside protein picks like their 350g darling downs sirloin with pepperonata.

An extensive wine list and cocktail menu accompanies their food offering, and for those with a sweet-tooth, a peek at the dessert menu can never go astray, (temptation sits with the moscato custard panna cotta!).

Willmott’s Gastronomia next-door is also a wonderful place to start for a pre-dinner drink. Owned too by Ursini, the deli, come cocktail bar compliments Orso’s offerings perfectly.

Orso (meaning ‘bear’ in Italian) is certainly reflective of its name; big and bold with undeniable confidence – it is the place to go for that indulgent and flavoursome Italian meal.
