Apprentice Chef Amity Lobb says the flexibility and support received from her lecturers during her apprenticeship at Adelaide Oval was instrumental in finishing her training.
“The lecturers at TAFE SA have a wealth of knowledge and experience – they were so supportive throughout my training and encouraged me to compete in national and international cooking competitions to broaden my skills”, says Amity.
Recently competing on an international level at the IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany as part of the Australian Culinary Federation’s National Youth Team, Amity says the endeavour was an incredible opportunity.
“I really enjoyed meeting chefs from around Australia who were involved in the event and just the scale of international competition; the skills were amazing and it’s mind-blowing to watch it all come together”.
