Sunset Food and Wine is a modern bistro which overlooks the stunning American Beach in Kangaroo Island. The Sunset experience is a juxtaposition of fine and casual dining. We were the first restaurant on Kangaroo Island to be awarded one Chef Hat from the Australian Good Food Guide, an accolade that we maintain today. Our food philosophy is produce driven. We use locally sourced ingredients that are respected by choosing simple techniques that really showcase their quality. Our Head Chef and owner, Jack Ingram has worked in some of the world’s finest kitchens; including holding the title of Executive Chef at the island’s highly commended Southern Ocean Lodge, Michelin starred Le Champignon Sauvage and Lygon Arms Hotel in the UK and Vue De Monde and Attica in Melbourne. We’re so proud to have him bring these talents to our table to share with you.
