Authentic award-winning Teppanyaki Japanese restaurant in the heart of Adelaide!
Opening in 1988, Shiki quickly rose to the heights of culinary success and now, two decades later, continues to maintain its position as one of Adelaide’s most prestigious and loved Japanese restaurants. A longstanding favourite with diners and food critics alike, Shiki’s continuing contribution to the Adelaide restaurant scene was recently publicly recognised when it was inducted into the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association Hall of Fame.
The time-honoured traditions of Japanese cuisine combine the finest skills in preparation and cooking with great respect for seasonal produce. At Shiki, our Executive Sous Chef and his culinary team create an experience to remember when premium South Australian produce is transformed into amazing Japanese sushi and sashimi, tempura and teppanyaki.
The wine list includes both bottle and glass selections designed to showcase quality Australian wines and complement the wide array of authentic dishes on the menu. And, of course, the list also includes a premium range of sake. Staff are on hand to assist with your selection.
The restaurant adjoins the stunning InterContinental Adelaide atrium on the lobby level, embracing expansive views facing the River Torrens and Adelaide Oval.
The Shiki Corporate Luncheon, available from 12pm to 3pm (30 people minimum) is a particular favourite among guests.
Valet parking is available and complimentary through InterContinental Adelaide if you are driving and having dinner at our Japanese Restaurant from Monday to Thursday (priced at $50 any other day). We also offer to validate your ticket from the Convention Centre’s carpark if you are having dinner in Shiki (limited to 1 ticket per couple).
