Flavours of the people, the place and the heart of Nepal.
In Nepal, it is an honour to welcome guests into our homes and offer you our hospitality. So it is at Kathmandu Palace, where a meal is more than a meal. It is our way of introducing you to a proud and ancient culture, where fresh herbs and gentle spices come together to enhance flavour and create a sense of wellbeing.
Our menu is inspired by family recipes and flavours going back centuries. Try our slow-roasted buffalo, gently spiced with ginger and garlic and finished in the pan with fresh tomato, a dish enjoyed by the early settlers of the Kathmandu Valley. From the eastern mountains comes a recipe for pan-fried potatoes with cumin.
Nepalese curries are rich and complex but never heavy or hot, while our chargrilled lamb celebrates both the very best of South Australian meat and the ancient art of cooking over coals.
Roam the menu through our banquets for two or more, and partner your meal with your choice of wine from our selection showcasing the major wine regions of South Australia and beyond.
Let us welcome you with food from the heart, and always with a smile.
