Clare Valley SCA Gourmet Week (Gourmet) will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year with a jam-packed 2024 program featuring more than 85 events, to ring in its major milestone.

Festival goers will be able to enjoy the 10-day event in three parts; Festival Weekend (17-19 May), Breathe It In (20-24 May) and Land of the Long Lunch (25-26 May), whether that be for a day, weekend or over the whole week.

The Festival Weekend kicks off with new events, such as Fire and Wines at Skillogalee Estate that is set to dish up an incredible feast cooked over fire by Africola Sound System’s Duncan Welgemoed.

Round out each day with The Sailing Club – the Unofficial Afterparty docking at the Clare Showgrounds, a perfect way to end the day on both Saturday and Sunday – expect fun vibes and great eats by the people behind Lune Bar and Dolly with great music including sets from DJ Driller.

Crowd favourites return including the Cellars without Doors Degustation Dinner on the Friday night, whereby winemakers who don’t have cellar doors are matched with a six-course degustation dinner by SA Chef of the Year, Nicola Palmer at the Watervale Hotel.

These events and many more see the region’s favourite cellar doors open in collaboration with pop-up restaurants, food vans and live music at a range of events that will be released over the coming weeks, with shuttle buses operating on constant loops, linking the valley over the weekend.

Midweek, immerse yourself in the region as cellar doors open back vintage, hard to find, and special wines over the Breathe It In series of events.
