The warmer weather is here, and we are celebrating with an exclusive BGR Garden Tour and Lunch Series.
Join Executive Chef, Paul Baker, as he takes you on a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and teaches you about the abundance of unique edible ingredients that can be found throughout the Gardens.

During the private tour, guests will be given insight into what it takes for the kitchen team to forage for ingredients daily and how these elements effect the cuisine available at the restaurant and how Paul curates his menu on any one day.
A huge percentage of the BGR menu is made up using edible botanicals that are grown within the Gardens. The unique point, all the botanicals within the gardens, are preserved and maintained by the horticultural staff of the Botanic Gardens of South Australia. The kitchen team at BGR have no control over any of the produce and plants that can be found in the Gardens.
A champion of the sustainable food movement, Paul focuses on harvesting ingredients at their peak for optimum freshness and flavour and will outline the benefits and importance of growing and utilising healthy, ethically-farmed local produce.
Upon completion of the tour, guests will be treated to a unique BGR snack and botanical refreshment outside under the shady canopy of the Plane trees, near Murdoch Ave. Guests will then be invited inside the heritage restaurant to embark on a 4 course Chef’s Table food journey of the Gardens with a specially designed menu reflecting ingredients that they have just learnt about. Sit back and enjoy this intimate dining experience and take advantage of the beautiful views and lush vista that surround the restaurant.

Guests can indulge in wines from our world-class wine list, or order matched wines as selected by our Sommelier, with characters to accompany each of the dishes perfectly. This can be enjoyed at an additional cost.
This experience is strictly limited to 12 people only per session and available on selected dates.
